Welcome to Better Days Acupuncture!
Covid-19 Information for patients.
In our clinic, you can expect compassionate, professional, patient-centered care. Acupuncture is an ancient healing art which works by balancing life-force, or qi. As a medical system, it conceptualizes the body-mind-spirit as one, and treatments therefore work on each of these levels simultaneously. We have found that this integrative approach to healthcare has the unique ability to access each patient’s inherent wisdom and healing potential. As practitioners, we are dedicated to holding each patient as perfect and whole, and to designing and providing treatments which honor each individual’s needs and wellness goals. As such, acupuncture functions as an excellent modality when integrated with Western medicine, and when utilized as preventative medicine.
To Schedule Your First Appointment:
We are open Monday-Saturday, with daytime and evening appointments available. Contact us to set up your first appointment.
What to Expect:
During your first visit, your practitioner will spend from 90-120 minutes with you. An in-depth medical history will be taken, and your practitioner will conduct a traditional Chinese medicine physical exam, including taking pulses, palpating acupuncture points, and examining the tongue. Pulses are read on each wrist and indicate to the practitioner the state of balance of 12 different organ systems. Tongue diagnosis is an important part of Chinese medicine and is used to determine the nature of the patterns present within each patient. Following this interview and exam, your practitioner will provide the first treatment. Subsequent treatments will last 60 minutes.
Generally, patients feel better in body-mind-spirit even after one treatment. We encourage you to take note of changes that arise after treatment. To experience the full benefits of acupuncture, a course of at least 6 treatments is recommended. Treatment plans will vary depending on the length and severity of symptoms. Many patients find that acupuncture becomes an important part of their wellness practices.
Payment
The cost of the Intake & First Treatment (90-120 minutes) is $150. Subsequent treatments (60 minutes) are $95. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards for our services.
